Becoming a Whole Woman

He assaulted me, he raped me, he beat and demeaned me
Thinking about them keeps them thriving

He abused me, he mistreated me, he robbed and controlled me
Letting go of them can diminish them

Holding on to fear and hatred
Doesn’t erase the pain
Holding peace and forgiveness in your heart
Brings the healing

Now I remain
A whole woman
Strong
Alone
