Governor blocks Vonda White's release!

On February 2^nd, 2007, Governor Schwarzenegger reversed parole for 67-year-old Vonda White. 

Vonda has been in prison since 1979 after being convicted of 1^st degree murder. She was ordered by her abusive husband/cult leader to kill a rival. She did so for fear of her life and the lives of her children if she did not comply with her husband's orders.

Vonda was 7 months pregnant when she committed the crime. She and her children had experienced physical and emotional abuse for 11 years from her husband and other cult leaders.

The Governor reversed Vonda's parole despite the fact that she has been write-up free for the more than 28 years she has been in prison and had support from hundreds of concerned community members from around the country, including her sentencing judge.

We send Vonda our love and support, and will continue to fight for her freedom. Tremendous thanks to all of those who contacted the Governor in support of Vonda's release.
