Johanna Hoffmann

Johanna Hoffmann is currently a law student in San Francisco, a student representative of the San Francisco Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, and a member of various progressive community organizations. She is honored to have the opportunity to co-coordinate the efforts of Free Battered Women (FBW). Involved with domestic violence and prison issues for over five years, Johanna has worked with Free Battered Women since July 2002. Johanna worked on the visual committee to create t-shirts and banners that were used in the August 20, 2002 demonstrations and others that followed. Johanna is also working on a habeas petition with Olivia Wang and looks forward to seeing enormous success with the project. Interested in promoting public education and awareness of domestic violence and the stories of incarcerated survivors, Johanna is on the Speaker's Bureau of FBW and is dedicated to reaching out to a broader audience and gaining support for our projects. Johanna will also be working with other members of FBW to broaden our membership of friends and family of survivors and to coordinate ongoing prison visits to promote a stronger bond between our members on the outside and those on the inside.
