governor denies freedom to maureen carroll!

On December 24th, 2008, Governor Schwarzenegger released his decision to reverse parole for Maureen Carroll -- despite the fact that the parole board had found her suitable for parole for the third time.

Maureen has served 24 years of a 25-to-life sentence, during which time she has been very active in various organizations and self-help programs. She has not had any disciplinary write-ups for the past 17 years.
